Albert Ruel demonstrates the “Be My Eyes” and “Aira” apps to the Victoria, B.C. chapter of Get Together With Technology a program from the Canadian Council of the Blind. Be My Eyes is a free app where visually impaired users upload images of objects so that volunteers can identify them. Aira works similarly with a pair of special glasses and is a paid service.
